Mixing Femme With Menswear

The thing I love about menswear is how utterly polished it tends to be. I admire the simplicity, the comfort, and the tailoring. Every now and then, I incorporate it into my look. It’s a different spin on the relaxed silhouette.

These trousers are my favorite – they’re loose-fitted, silky, and lightweight. Easy to dress up or down. I could roll up the hems and put on some flats for a Saturday stroll or I could pair them with these rose gold heels suitable for any event. I think it’s best to pair trousers with a sandal or stiletto so that it elongates your legs while keeping the overall look simple. The white brings out the rose gold from my B by Brian Atwood heels, complimenting each other to a T.

The blazer is made of a similar fabric to the trousers so naturally, the two should be worn together. It’s tailored so that it curves in slightly at my waist to give a hint of a femininity. The slightest curve of a jacket can really make or break the look. I bought the sleeveless blouse from a Club Monaco sample sale. It goes perfectly with the blazer because the indigo of the collar detail is nearly the same as the blazer. And the pastel purple is perfect for Spring.
