Collaborations are the perfect way to combine aesthetics and create something new, fresh, and exciting! One of my favorite recent collaborations is between John Hardy and Adwoa Aboah. The design of the jewelry are a perfect mix of feminine and masculine, without swaying in one particular direction. It is neither dainty nor chunky but made to add a cool, effortless layer to your outfit and compliment it perfectly. I styled my John Hardy x Adwoa Aboah pieces with a silk black dress, threw a blazer over my shoulders, and paired it with simple, strappy Tibi sandals via Farfetch.
It was really insightful to understand the inspiration behind the designs. The collection was inspired by Bali and its jewelry-making traditions. From the layered necklaces to statement rings, I couldn’t help but want to put everything on all at once! Wearing these pieces made me feel empowered and unique. Most importantly, it made me feel inspired to wear more jewelry as a layering element and statement of personal style! It encouraged me to have fun with jewelry. And sometimes, that’s what matters most – collecting pieces that make you feel inspired, always.
