Autumn in August

DSCF2400 DSCF2402 DSCF2398 DSCF2410 I think the dog days of summer are officially over because suddenly jeans have become appealing again (to me, at least). Wool hats, cardi’s, and jeans speak to me in ways I can’t explain. Thus, it’s no surprise when I reveal to you that Autumn is undoubtedly my favorite season. I’m fully ready to commit to a wardrobe of boots and coatigans.

One of my staples for this upcoming fall will be long, thickly knitted cardigans with varying lengths, from hitting right above the knee to almost floor length. I’m falling in love with the motion of sways it creates while walking. It feels very ethereal in new way.

Dressing is all about a mood, a feeling, and sometimes a certain nostalgia that could come with the garment or the season you’re dressing for. It can also be about goals and challenging yourself to explore more in the ways which you dress daily. If this transition from summer into fall seems difficult, play around with staples from both seasons. For this look, I paired a linen shirt (linen is the epitome of summer) with cozy fall essentials. I’ve also paired my denim shorts with this cardigan. It’s a balance of two seasons, creating the ultimate cool girl look.
