My personal style is heavily influenced by New York. I love this city like no other. The thing that I love most (besides the endless variety of amazing food and culture), is the multifaceted-ness of the city, the layers that make it what it is. From the underground subway to the sidewalks, to the skyscrapers, and many levels of existence in between, I find some creative inspiration from it all.
Probably the only thing I love about winter, or really, a mild winter, is the fact that I can layer up and layer up some more. It challenges me to come up with new ways to layer other than adding sweaters on sweaters and coats on coats. This time, it’s much more subtle and discreet. I layered my duster over an asymmetrical pencil skirt. A double skirt situation? Oh, yes. So warm below the waist and so comfortable all over. It might be hard to pull off a skirt in 30 degree weather but it’s doable when there’s enough skin coverage so you don’t have to pretend you’re warm.
