One of my favorite ways to start a new year is by reevaluating my wardrobe, especially my work attire. In my opinion, it’s the perfect time to refresh your workwear and set the tone for the new year. It’ll give you a boost of newfound confidence and focus.
I like to balance the usual dread of Mondays with a fun but work-friendly (of course) outfit. Something to take the edge off, you know? The first outfit, a relatively monochrome look, is the perfect example. I’m not wearing all black for a change! The light and airy colors instantly alters my mood from blah to giddy. I feel as though I could conquer the world while in stilettos – what a feat!
The second look is a more subdued and a no-brainer. On Fridays, I wear my favorite Levi’s with a blazer and roll neck sweater. This look can take you from the workplace to drinks, easily.
My best advice when it comes to dressing for work would be to prioritize looking and feeling put together while maintaining a level of comfort as well. I have found it to be so distracting to my work if I wore tight or uncomfortable shoes or pants I can’t have a food baby in – yes, speaking from experience here. I end up being more productive when I establish a work uniform of sorts that combine comfort, elegance, and sophistication. Look to Celine, The Row, or Cos for inspiration.
I’ve also added the links to my favorite new workwear items below. Happy Shopping!
