It’s been an insane(ly good) week for me so far. In the beginning of the year, I read my horoscope predicting what kind of year I’ll be experiencing (I’m a retired horoscope junkie, by the way), and I remember reading some positive notes about my career/work. I’ve been blogging for over a year now and my readership has grown steadily, and I’ve had some fortunate opportunities to work with amazing brands this past year! Not only that, I’ve recently been named a brand ambassador for Stylespotter which you need to check out ASAP. If you love to shop like me, it’ll be your new home page very quickly. This summer, I’m working three different jobs and I’ve never been happier because I realize I’m doing something I love to do! It’s truly an amazing feeling and I feel grateful that I get to share my advice and tips with you all.
Today’s post is a beginner’s guide to pairing prints. Prints can be intimidating if you’ve always been a solids girl like me. So start small, and build from there. The first thing you want to do is a pair a printed item like this skirt here with solids. I paired my printed skirt with a black and white top, and neutral bag. The next step to wearing prints is mixing them! There’s a hint of animal print on my skirt so I styled the look with my accented animal print flats. It’s subtle in how the prints reflect each other and it’s an easy way to mix different prints. It doesn’t have to be the exact same. Pairing different prints and sizes of prints makes your look more fun and effortless looking.
Try it out for yourself and see if my beginner’s advice helps you in embracing prints in your wardrobe! Sending my love to you all!
