Even with Spring approaching, I believe outerwear is still something that we all feel a need to invest in. Outerwear is season-less. From trenchcoats, to fur bombers, to regular sporty bombers, to sequin coats, there are still so many options and there needs to be these many options because we still have a ways to go before we can leave the house without a jacket.
A standout coat is essential to any wardrobe. Yes, you need the basics, the necessities. Everyone needs a plain black, camel/tan, and grey overcoat but then, if you have room, explore other options that you wouldn’t typically choose. For me, it was this green sequin coat that caught my eye. It is a show stopper. I pared it down and wore it with blue jeans and a black mock neck top. Gucci’s latest campaigns have inspired me to combine red and green together, so my little red bag made for the perfect accessory. The regular me would choose black but when you’re committed to a green sequin coat, you’ve got to deviate from the norm in order to truly stand out.
Also from Arianne Elmy, is my other favorite coat: the fur bomber. It really dresses up a pair of jeans and sneakers. Or it can add a new level of chic to a pair of pinstripe trousers and t-shirt. I love this fur bomber especially for nights out or for dinner dates. It’s the best option to look effortlessly stunning. Even if you were to pair this with a pair of track pants or sweatpants. Gotta wear that next!
